AR’NEKA MONTFORD D.C. | M.S.
Chiropractic Sports Physician
Licensed in ART® | Graston® | RockTape®
Dr. Ar’neka Montford was destined to be a chiropractor since her first time hearing about how the brain and spinal cord control everything in the body. Soon after she left her hometown in Bogue, North Carolina to start her chiropractic journey. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University with Magna Cum Laude status. Since graduating Dr. Arneka has been working as a sports chiropractor for Life University’s Running Eagles while finishing up her Master’s degree in Sports Health Science. According to Dr. Ar’neka “everyone’s an athlete, ranging from the mom who has to squat to pick up her child to the dad training for weekend athletic events.” During her studies at Life University, Dr. Ar’neka realized how important the relationship between muscle and bone is, so she decided to take it a step further and specialize in soft tissue techniques. She is certified in the following soft tissue techniques: Graston Technique, RockTape, and full body Active Release Technique (ART).
Prior to chiropractic, Dr. Ar’neka received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology with a minor in Sports Science from North Carolina State University. During her schooling, she used her passion for sports, stemmed from her time on the basketball and volleyball courts, and coached volleyball and basketball. Coaching young athletes and seeing the extraspinal injuries occurring within her team led her to focus on extremities later in her chiropractic journey. Dr. Ar’neka is excited to use her soft tissue and extremity expertise to help everyone reach their optimal potential.
