JACLYN “KAT” COOK LMT

Kat’s inspiration to become a massage therapist has been in her veins since she was very young. In 2012, she was diagnosed with an extremely disruptive neurological condition, narcolepsy with cataplexy, due to the right side of her brain stem being pinched. While researching how to get this condition under control, she had an awakening to a new calling in life. As she continued this quest to learn more about the human body and how our brains work, her desire to help other through the use of physical touch and massage was the clear choice for her profession, as it came so naturally to her.

In 2014, Kat graduated from the Healing Arts Institute with one main goal: Help people live without pain. She is now able to do that through the use of various techniques and methods tailored to each individual’s needs. Her areas of focus include: sciatica relief, Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massage. Through hands on body work, she has helped patients eliminate their dependence on harmful opiates and pain relieving medications by reducing pain and improving function in the body. Kat believes no one should have to live in pain and continues to bring that awareness to everyone she works with.
